Who We Are

Who are We_Yvonne McCastleDr. Yvonne McCastle is the Executive Director of EduFirst Consulting Services, Inc. She began her first teaching experience as an early child care practitioner which later evolved into a career as a public school educator of over 17 years. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education and Master of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision both from Southern University and A&M College. Afterwards, she sought to expand her knowledge base by receiving certification in the area of special education.

Shortly thereafter, she transitioned to North Georgia and settled into her educational career path. In 2003, she decided to head out yet again in her pursuit of higher education. This continued quest led her to Nova Southeastern University where she obtained a Doctorate of Education Degree in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Educational Leadership. Since then, Dr. McCastle has added to her range of exceptional credentials and experience a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama, CDA Professional Development Specialist, and certified School Counselor and Anger Management Specialist. Her enduring passion and innovative leadership has, in many ways, laid the groundwork for EduFirst to continuously cast its mission and goals. As a state-approved Trainer III and training curriculum developer, she has conducted countless workshops across Georgia and recently stretched the organizations’s training initiatives to also include professional development offerings in Louisiana. A self-proclaimed life-long learner, Dr. McCastle lends extensive expertise in developing high quality training programs that equip individuals with the knowledge needed to grow their confidence and skills.

Who are We_Dr. GoodgameDr. Thomasina Goodgame is the Director of Compliance & Professional Development. She comes to EduFirst with over 24 years of experience in the field of education. Prior to her current position, Dr. Goodgame has served as an Administrator at the collegiate level and principal at all three levels: Elementary, Middle, and High School.

Dr. Goodgame received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from Morris Brown College and a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish Phonetics and Methodology from The Atlanta University, which is now, Clark Atlanta University. She then endeavored to continue her studies, earning her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. A woman of impeccable character and persistence, Dr. Goodgame later obtained a Doctorate of Education Degree from Argosy University, specializing in Educational Leadership and Supervision. She also studied abroad in Cuernavaca, Morelos (Mexico) in a foreign language program at Instituto de Idiomas y Culturas Latinoamericanas (I.D.E.L). Additionally, Dr. Goodgame was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Morris Brown College for her outstanding basketball skills.
